What We Did Today....

This morning we went to the Guangzhou Zoo and it was very hot. It was about 100 degrees with about 95% humidity. So we did the express tour of the zoo, which was fine by us. I think we actually set a record for time spent in a zoo at an hour and a half. But, we did get to see Lions, Tigers and Bears (OH MY). We also saw the Panda and the smiling Hippo.

After lunch, we went to the pool to cool off. The White Swan has a very nice pool with a waterfall. It was a great relief from the afternoon heat.

Then it was off for the famous Red Couch picture, which didn't go over very well with little Mr. Sawyer. He cried and cried, even when it was just the family. He did calm down for the group picture that was taken with our camera though. Every other picture, you will see him crying. But, once the flashes stopped, he was back to his old self, laughing and exploring things.

Finally it was off to the Pearl River night Cruise with Buffet. The food was really good and the view of Guangzhou all lit up at night was amazing.

Shelby,

Wow, the picture of Sawyer in those sun glasses looks just like a pictue I have of DZiadzi in sunglasses with his grandaughter! You will have to get one with Sawyer and Nana in sunglasses! Can't wait for you, Scott and Sawyer to get home so we can talk longer. Nana can't wait either and is so excited for you and Scott. You and Scott have a beautiful son and will be so busy showing off this handsome little guy! Love Ya.

Miss you around here Missy Shelby ... awesome pics ... feel badly for the panda at the zoo just being in a cage ... that's just not right. Mr. Sawyer is the luckiest boy on this earth ... no, I take that back, luckiest boy in the Universe! What an experience this has been.... thank you so much for sharing all this with us!

I love that waterfall, great photo but who is that guy front and center who looks like Uncle Fester with hair right in front of Shelby? See you in a couple of days. Mike
